| Part of the Dorvish Constitution. Powers of the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article I The head of state of the People's Republic of Dorvik shall bear the formal title of President of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article II The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is the guardian and protector of the Dorvish Constitution and the people of Dorvik, the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik has the duty to uphold the laws, dignity and health of the nation at all costs. Article III The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Dorvik, the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is may ask for mobilization of the Armed Forces as well as the motion to declare war on any nation or sub-national group. Article IV The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is required to be at least 35 years of age and must be born to two Dorvish parents; they must be able to prove that they are Dorvish born. Anyone may run for President of the People's Republic of Dorvik, they are not required to be a member of a political party or a political organization. Article V If the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik may fall ill, pass, be captured or otherwise incapacitated in any manner the title of President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is temporarily given to the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik until the next election or the return of the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article VI The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik has a ceremonial role within Dorvik, the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is elected in a popular election by the people of Dorvik. The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik presides over all national holidays and celebrations as a master of ceremonies. Article VII The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik acts as a representative of the People's Republic of Dorvik alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Both the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik and the Minister of Foreign Affairs are allowed to pursue diplomatic treaties, mutual defense pacts and the like in the scope of international politics. Article VIII The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik may be impeached if he is indicted on any charges civil or criminal, the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik may take on the dual role of President of the People's Republic of Dorvik and Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik until the next election or appoint a temporary President until the next election. Temporary appointment is done by a 2/3 vote in the People's Chamber of the People's Republic of Dorvik. Article IX The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik along with the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chancellor of the People's Republic of Dorvik may issue the order for a state of Emergency to be declared, if this is declared the Dorvik Internal Guard (National Guard) is deployed and is under direct control of the three. Article X The President of the People's Republic of Dorvik is the head of the Office of the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik; the Office of the President of the People's Republic of Dorvik consists of the President's personal staff including whatever offices he chooses to create, disband or suspend. |
