Details
Submitted by[?]: Hosianisch-Demokratisches Verbund
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3294
Description[?]:
(OOC: for visibility reasons) The CDV strives for a Hulstria which is strong at home and compassionate abroad, serving both our national interest and the creation and maintenance of international peace and order. Further notes according to proposal: Ad 4: This Civilian Service will take the form of charity work and other socially relevant activities, in order to instil our youth with the values of citizenship and participation in society. On the proposals on WMDs: we believe Hulstria should not use weapons of mass destruction unless as a deterrent. Therefore, we wish to preclude the use of those weapons "for any reason" as it might inhibit our responsible use of those weapons if we are given carte-blanche to use them. Ad 7: We wish to make the point that a prosperous nation such as ours has a Christian duty to aid nations which are less well-off. Development aid should never fall below the medium level, but otherwise, we'll have to look at it case-by-case. This proposal is meant to signify that we think it should be as high as possible within the constraints of budgetary prudence. |
