Bill: Prison Labor Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ominous Cabal of Patrician Statesmen
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3330
Description[?]:
By doing labor, prisoners can thus help pay for their stay in prison. Furthermore, labor keeps them useful and busy and feeling useful makes one emotionally healthy. And by being busy during the day, they will not be able to indulge in crooked prison games like beating up each other or fabricating a fiasco. And by night, they will be reasonably tired that they become averse to activities that require them to spend excess amounts of energy. This act will make the prison system a little bit less expensive and the prisoners better-behaved. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
