Bill: Permaculture Programme: Organic Agriculture Re-Draft
Details
Submitted by[?]: Green-Left Communalist Collective
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3348
Description[?]:
After our attempt to place a gradual ban on harmful agricultural chemicals failed, we re-propose the bill after the increase in environmentalist seats. If the bill fails we will consider passing the power to local governments with a clause that encourages local government to place a ban or heavy regulation on their chemical use: As apart of our Syndicate's policy to move Ikradon towards a permacultural and sustainable agriculture; we are proposing the withdrawal of use of all pesticides, herbicides and harmful agricultural chemicals. The protection of the natural ecosystem is more important for sustainability than a high yield. As a true socialist republic of communities, the high growth of produce for the sake of capital is not necesary, therefore we see the phasing out of harmful chemicals as a necessary part to the survival of our natural environment. This programme is intended to be installed over time, although the official constitutional ban will take immediate effect. We are open to proposed clauses to the bill. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permaculture |
