Description[?]:
This nation currently resides under a rather unfair system. This system reforms the way the government approaches economics and finance in order to bring about a more balanced and durable system. Summarised: - Foreign diplomats, for criminal justice purposes, are brought under the same conditions as anyone else who commits a crime in Kizenia. - Agricultural subsidies will be based on demand for crops. Crops that are high in demand, and therefore needed by the people or small businesses of this nation, will be given higher subsidies so that there will be no shortages of highly-necessary crops. - The current public health care system remains, but separate private clinics will be allowed to operate in order to reduce the workload of the public health care system. The wealthy will usually have their treatments in private clinics so that the public health care system can take care of the public. - The production of industrial hemp is deregulated. It is mainly used for clothes and ropes, so it is slightly unnecessary to have separate production laws for hemp. - The tariff system is reformed. Tariffs are only imposed on goods from nations that impose tariffs on our goods. If there is fair international trade, and no tariffs are imposed on basic goods from our nation, then we will not impose tariffs on goods from friendly nations. This is also a good idea to improve foreign relations. - Police officers, often finding themselves in a situation where they have to defend themselves, will be armed with a light firearm. There will still exist squads with heavier arms for large-scale emergencies. - Religious advertising will be allowed in line with other advertising laws. Since no distinction is made between businesses and organised religions in any other field, advertising should be made equal also. - In order to prevent a loss of trust in government, public officials need to appear secular so that there is no reason for people to think that public officials are dishing out special treatment to those that share their openly-visible religion. - The retirement age will be raised so that the current system of social security will remain strong and fair for the next generation. There is only a moderate rise; most wealthy nations already have a retirement age much higher than this proposed age. - Software, algorithms and other intellectual property will be made into public domain so that science, philosophy and fair use are put above profit-making and lawsuit-warring by large businesses. - Local governments, those that realistically deal with sports clubs, are given the right to decide on funding for sports clubs. They will be the first to spot any problems or room for improvement, and therefore it makes much more sense to let them handle subsidies. - Small arms exports are allowed to allies. This gives us a boost in employment and keeps our allies and thereby ourselves safe. |
