Bill: Marriage Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3402
Description[?]:
A small minority of foreign marriages are conducted under circumstances which should raise our concern. Sometimes, for example, unfair pressure has been applied to one or both of the parties in order to get them to agree to contract the marriage. For this reason, our government should have the discretion not to legally recognise certain foreign marriages. |
