Bill: Longer Electoral Terms for the Chairman
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluz Democratic Karavist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3406
Description[?]:
The electoral terms for the chairman are too short. We could have a new chairman every 4 years instead of 2. With just 24 months between elections, there are only 3 periods of 8 months in which bills can be proposed, including bills to change the Head of State of North or South Beluzia. A longer election term, for the chairman, gives more time for elections for the High Count and President, instead of electing them right before the seat setup changes. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
