| It is our belief that the application of the death penalty is a horrific, medieval and inhumane approach to the administration of justice. The Government proposes to abolish all capital crimes with immediate effect, and amend the penal code to reduce the maximum criminal penalty to life inprisonment. This act will retroactively apply to any person currently awaiting execution. |
