The AAS seeks to bring into the public arena, certain issues of 'control'. There are some decisions that should be being made by the persons in question, or by their guardians, if they are below a certain age.

The government should not be intervening in the contents of a uterus. The government should not be deciding if a couple have sex for fun or procreation. The government should not determine how old the individual is when he or she first purchases alcohol or tobacco.

The AAS seeks to put decision-making in the hands of the citizen.
