A resolution before the Imperial Senate. The Imperial Senate, by passage of this resolution, shall give the Princeps Senatus the lawful authority to appoint the Selucian National Security Board. Members of the SNSB shall serve at the pleasure of the Princeps Senatus and while appointed by the Princeps Senatus, the ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs have veto power over any appointees. All appointees must have the Selucian Citizenship and must undergo a detailed background check. The positions are not open to any woman. The main purpose of the SNSB shall be to advise the Princeps Senatus, the Defense Ministry, and the Foreign Affairs Ministry on matters of national security interests. It's members will have access to sensitive intelligence in order to give the best possible advise to the cabinet. They hold no power other than to counsel. The SNSB shall not exceed more than 5 members and will have national security clearance equal to the Princeps Senatus, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Foreign Affairs. |
