| Unemployment has reached a crisis level (11%) and it would surely appear to all serious people that the time for decisive government intervention in this tragedy is now. -The Ministry proposes to invest an extra 10 billion in education spending, part of it going to hiring 150,000 teaching (related) staff -The Ministry proposes to invest 3.8 billion more in the Full Employment Office (attached to the Industry Ministry) and targets to create 300,000 new public sector jobs together with the extra investment in infrastructure. - Considerable budget cuts to security related spending are part of the ongoing process of winding down our commitments in the NUM -Budget adjustments shall be kept modest enough in order to keep in line with the previously stated goal of inflation control.
