Bill: Programme for the Protection of the Wrongfully Accused, 3565

Details

Submitted by[?]: União Democrática do Tukarali

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3565

Description[?]:

"It is a grave threat to the civil rights of the people of Tukarali if the DNA of people who were only accused of a crime, even if they were wrongfully accused of a crime, is collected and kept on record. In a situation such as this, a systematic policy of wrongful accusation by the government of forces close to it, could even be used as a means of controlling the opposition."

Lina Fernandes, TDU spokesperson on Justice and Civil Rights
