| Preamble: In seeking a new stable order, the Dorvish nation adopts this fundamental law, to establish a new kingdom based on the supremacy of the Monarch and the confidence and advice of his Diet. I. Name of the State 1. The official name of the state shall be the "Dorvische Königreich" (Dorvish Kingdom). II. The Monarchy 1. There shall be a monarch as head of state, styled "Seine Majestätische Hoheit, Beschützer von Dorvik, Von Gottes Gnaden, {NAME}, König der Dorvik" (His Majestic Highness, Protector of Dorvik, by the grace of God, {NAME}, King of Dorvik) for a male monarch, or "Ihre Majestätische Hoheit, Beschützer von Dorvik, Von Gottes Gnaden, {NAME}, Königin der Dorvik". 2. The Succession to the Monarchy of the Dorvish Kingdom and of the Domains thereunto belonging after His Majestic Highness be regulated by this Fundamental Law, which limits it to the heirs of Friedrich von Wachtenhofen, von Schillefeld, as determined by equal primogeniture, religion, and legitimate birth. ----- 2.1. Anyone who is not in communion with the Reformed Hosian Church of Dorvik is permanently excluded from the succession. Marriage to am individual outside of communion with the Ordist Church is acceptable, though children must be raised within the Ordist faith to be on the line of succession. ----- 2.2. If the list of the line of succession has been exhausted then a new noble family may be placed on the throne in consultation with and approval of the Government. III The Church 1. The national church shall be the Reformed Hosian Church of Dorvik. Membership in such church is voluntary. 2. All nobles of the state must profess the Ordist faith and be held in communion with the Reformed Hosian Church of Dorvik. |
