| In light of the ongoing terrorist action by Geraja and Communist forces against His Majesty's government, the Conservatives propose the following. Article 1 withdraws state funding for public defenders. In recent years, thousands of traitors against the Crown have been brought to trial, clogged our judicial system and strained the budget of the Department of Justice. This law will allow the justice of the court to move along more efficiently. Minister Koch specifically requests this change. Article 2 is in response to ongoing violence against the Church of Malivia (Evangelical Lutheran Christian) and her brothers and sisters in the Aurorian Patriarchal Church (Roman Catholic). In the last year alone, there have been 17 bombings and two attacks by gunmen against Hosianist (Christian) churches nationwide, resulting in the deaths of more than 400 civilian worshipers. Thus far, local police forces have been unable to prevent these attacks and the military can only intervene after the fact. The Conservatives, with the endorsement of both His Majesty, King Christian I, and Presiding Bishop Rommel, propose the creation of the Shields of the Faith, a paramilitary organization with a target membership of 10,000, open to both Luthorans and Patriarchalists, under the direct control of HRM, for the express purpose of protecting our nation's holy faith against the barbarism of the Geraja and their leftist allies. |
