Under the Law on Traditional Kyo Religion, Sindo-Daenism will be officially recognized as the state religion of Dankuk. Sindo, the native faith of the Kyo, continues to major role in society alongside Daenism. Many citizens do not consider themselves "just" Sindo or "just" Daenist, hence the designation of Sindo-Daenism. The Law on Traditional Kyo Religion also acknowledges the syncretic religious practice of Sindo and Daenism by citizens of other religions. It additionally recognizes the importance of Jienist philosophy in modern Kyo faith and tradition. |
