Bill: Abolition Act of 3619

Details

Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3620

Description[?]:

Human trafficking is a horrendous practice where slavery continues to exist, even as we proclaim that it has been abolished. Prostitution encourages this modern day slavery as countless studies have shown. Even legalized prostitution functions as a way to protect only the johns and the owners, while women continue to go without any protection. In addition, even if human trafficking is not occurring, it endorses the objectification of women. We as a nation can no longer stand to say that we are a people who allow for our women to have to sell their own body in order to survive. We have also proposed laws that will provide support for those who are economically distressed.

Under this law, any caught engaging in or supporting in anyway human trafficking shall be considered as having violated our laws against slavery and shall be punished accordingly.

Random fact: Players should not role-play characters without the consent of the owner, and if they find they have role-played the character beyond what the owner intended, they should withdraw or amend the role-play appropriately.

Random quote: Henceforth, the current system of first and second class stamps, where the rich can pay to have their mail delivered faster than the poor, shall be BANNED. There shall be only one class of mail delivery, and ALL mail shall travel at the SAME speed for EVERYBODY. There can be no class discrimination in the People's Post Office! There must be the SAME class of mail service FOR ALL! ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party
