Bill: Freer Market Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Voronan Libertarian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3624

Description[?]:

"The most important single central fact about a free market is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit." ~ Milton Friedman

By obligating trade unions and employers to negotiate the daily number of working hours we can obtain a fair labour system, with these working hours varying depending on the importance and size of certain sectors in the economy. This way, instead of having the government decide on the length of working hours in a week (currently a 40-hour-week), employers and employees-- who know their profession far better than any centralised government-- will have to negotiate together their working lengths. This removes any governmental bias, curtails even further any governmental presence in the economy and gives more power to the employers and trade unions.

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.
