Bill: Income tax proposal of January 3694

Details

Submitted by[?]: Ffrynt y Druid

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3694

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

The current income tax system induces an unfair burden on higher earnings. At it's core, it is effectively a penalty on studying, diligence and hard labour. A flat income tax is the only fair way of taxing incomes, as it means that everyone is paying proportionally the same for the same benefits, with those earning more also paying more.

Furthermore, there is an unnecessary budget surplus, effectively meaning that we are staling peoples money to store in our treasuries. Our tax proposal will bring the budget in balance once more.
