Description[?]:

For quite sometime the Dorvish identity has been focused on German, Bulgarian and Macedonian and that was admittedly me when I first joined the game and realized that many of these had not existed in the game. Over time, they were eventually added in some regards and I began to realize that the culture had not properly fit the game.

When I began working with the likes of Polites and others, we made leaps and bounds when it came to the culture of the game. With that, we finalized proto-Dundorfic which allowed us to make the history of Artania a little further cemented. With that, I found a great group of texts regarding the Prussian language and the Dorvish were the sort of "Prussians" of the game as the group never really existed.

The Prussian culture fits Dorvik, as Prussian culture is kind of a mix of German and Eastern European cultures. I believe it is precisely something that fits Dorvik. Overtime I gradually phased out the Bulgarians and the Macedonians in favor of the Lormans (who were early Dundorfians who migrated to Dorvik) and the Dorvish (who were later Dundorfians who migrated to Dorvik later). The two culture clashed and eventually they got along due to a royal marriage.

What I am stating is that we re-construct the identity of the Dorvish to better fit that. The Lorman people will be the Prussians, who are a blend of Germans and a Prussian culture and the Dorvish ethnic group are essentially Baltic Germans, keeping with the "Eastern" feel of the location. I believe that this will add a lot of cool RP elements such as the warrior culture, the belief in democracy and the altruistic and nationalist nature of the overall "Dorvish" identity.

----

Brief synopsis: The Dorvish identity is divided into two primary groups the Lormans and the Dorvish themselves. The Lormans were a group of proto-Dundorfians who migrated from Dundorf around 6th century BCE and were a primarily a nomadic people. The Dorvish were a tribe who would eventually come to the land known as Atria sometime around 1st century and eventually the conflict engulfed the entire peninsula. The Dorvish and the Lorman eventually agreed to a peace and founded the Kingdom of Dorvik.

Random fact: Once approved, players should copy Cultural Protocols into a bill in the debate section of their nation page, under the title of "OOC: Cultural Protocols". This bill should include links to the passed Cultural Protocol bill and the Moderation approval.
