Bill: Abolition of Salary Caps Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Keymon New Frontier Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3782
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, it is our belief that unions should not be involved in determining salary caps, as this is not an issue that lies within their natural area of responsibility, which encompasses everything dealing with the immediate affairs of workers. Since salary caps usually affect the management level only, giving union bosses the power to interfere with the wages earned by people whom they do not represent is incomprehensible. The market value will determine an individual salary cap for every individual by assessing the financial worth of their skills, making it unnecessary to define an abitrary limit. Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
