Bill: End Religious Harassment

Details

Submitted by[?]: Geraja Janata Parishad

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3784

Description[?]:

The GJP seeks to end the FF's cruel policy of religious harassment. News comes through to us that authorities are cracking down on religious expression and harassing those they suspect of being religious. Laws banning religion, the wearing of religious clothes and compulsary ID cards give authorities the ability to stop anyone on the street and bother them. Meanwhile temple food offerings are being banned under the pretext of central government food hygiene standards, which we would like to end. Similarly inter-faith dialogues between Geraja followers and those of other faiths have been hampered by the crackdown on foreign missionaries.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
