Bill: Food Supply Improvement Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Keymon New Frontier Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3786
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, the current policy on food sales restricts competition through its overly bureucratic licensing requirements, thus driving up prices by keeping the number of vendors artificially low. We propose to end this anti-consumer policy by abolishing the licensing regime altogether and requiring only that shelf lives be attached to products. Of course, since the food industry is a 'major industry' and has consequently been nationalized by our economically misguided government, this bill will only unfold its intended effect if we abandon the socialized economic sysem imposed on our people by the Liberal-Imperial alliance. Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
