Bill: Income tax proposal of February 3813

Details

Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3813

Description[?]:

The Reform Option of Solentia (ROS) propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Democratic Republic of Solentia.

This is part of an ongoing discussion to continue to restructure our tax system in a way that is fairer and allows for more prosperity of economic growth to reach all of our citizens. This bill would dramatically reduce the tax burden on the lowest tax brackets. Everyone would still benefit because of the increased tax exemption from 5000 SOL to 10000 SOL, as well as the lowered starting tax rates in the lowest tax brackets.

We propose to pay for this bill by cutting military spending as well as potentially considering other options such as another slight tax increase for the luxury tax. Just raising it by 1% and cutting military spending a bit should make this tax cut easily affordable. Please let us know your thoughts so that we can succeed in another tax reform aimed at helping the poorest Solentians!

Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility.
