Details
Submitted by[?]: Free Workers' Revolutionary Front
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3816
Description[?]:
At the request of the newly empowered trade unions of Aldegar, the Free Workers' Revolutionary Front presents a programme of sweeping reform in favour of the rights and amenities of the working people. The Workers' Relief Act firstly revokes the right of the reactionary Aldergarian State to spy on, silence or murder the working people of Aldegar under any circumstances. To this end, the Act begins by abolishing the death penalty and the disenfranchisement of prisoners, as well as preventing the State from reading private communications, sequestering the DNA or bodyparts of workers living or dead, and scrapping the authoritarian ID card policy wholesale. As a remedy for decades of abuse of the workers at the hands of the reactionary State and their capitalist paymasters, the Workers' Relief Act also introduces a comprehensive system of unconditional provision for social welfare. Public transport, advanced health care, sporting and fitness facilities, public housing, waste disposal, postal services and childcare subsidies shall hereafter be provided free of charge and without caveat to every citizen of Aldegar - and the parasitic private business interests which have until now held these basic human rights to ransom from the Aldegarian people will be driven from the nation by the hand of the workers! Down with the rentier capitalists of the exploiting class! Forward to Social Revolution! |
