Bill: A Fairer, Simpler Budget Plan

Details

Submitted by[?]: Die Alternative

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 3846

Description[?]:

The Grüne Partei's total inability to do basic mathematics means that we currently have a 200 billion DUM budget surplus, which is not being used. That isn't fiscal prudence: it's theft from the people of Dundorf. The government is taking away their money and then not using it to benefit the public.

This proposal will keep the budget in surplus. It is also much simpler than the current system which has no fewer than NINE marginal income tax rates for individuals. It creates one uniform income tax rate for individuals and corporations alike.

It keeps the budget balanced, and is fair, simple and reasonable.

- Christian Späth (finance spokesperson)
