Bill: Capital City Reform Act of 3846
Details
Submitted by[?]: Sinsegi-Dongmaeng 신세기동맹
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 3847
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, The Dankuk National Union proposes the establishment of multiple national capitals, each serving a different administrative branch, as a reflection of the history and heritage of this nation. There is certainly a discontent among the Kyo due to the return of the capital to the historic colonial city of Iglesia Mayor; conversely, the Dranianos likely feel the same way about the national capital having been deep within Kyo majority territory. So to avoid any symbolic bias that might arise from the geographic location of a single national capital, we propose: 1) Legislative Capital in Seongtaek, utilizing the parliament that was constructed following the devastation of Gongmangdo (OOC: since the game revolves around parliamentary politics, I have the mechanics listing this as the capital) 2) Judicial Capital in Iglesia Mayor, housed within the historic supreme court from centuries ago 3) Imperial Capital in Gongmangdo, located at Beonyeongsalm Palace, the residence of the royal family Yoo Donghyun Dankuk National Union |
