Bill: Foreign Policy Overhaul
Details
Submitted by[?]: Independence Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3850
Description[?]:
1. Immigration will be limited to those who have at least a bachelor's or equivalent level of education as well as their families. Those who study and graduate in our nation would be free to remain in Kundrati with minimal immigration regulations. 2. We need to assure that our nation is safe. A paramount duty of the national government is to provide for border security to help achieve this goal. 3. For too long we have had our domestic industries shut down as cheap labour from developing nations drives our people into unemployment. Let's put a stop to this! Import tariffs would both bring in extra revenues as well as give our industries a competitive advantage. Foreign companies that produce their products here in Kundrati would be subject to the same taxes as domestic companies. This encourages them to hire people in Kundrati as opposed to hiring them elsewhere. 4. We cannot allow every refugee to come to Kundrati and give them all aid. We have to have limits and rules to assure that legitimate refugees come here. We also need to have limits on the amount we accept in order to assure that our social services do not run into financial troubles. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
Random quote: "Capitalism demands the best of every man- his rationality- and rewards him accordingly. It leaves every man free to choose the work he likes, to specialize in it, to trade his product for the products of others, and to go as far on the road of achievement as his ability and ambition will carry him." - Ayn Rand |
