Voting deadline: July 3852
Description[?]:
Monoplies are in general bad for the economy. They reduce competition and raise prices for the consumer. However, by completely banning monopolies we lose the ability to have certain industries run in our great nation. Industries that have very high fixed costs that can only support one firm must run as a monopoly. To simply ignore these industries denies our citizens the choice to use these industries. Therefore, the Shadow Alliance proposes that we allow the formation of monopolies in these industries. These monopolies however must be formed with the government in order to ensure consumers do not get taken advantage of. |
