Bill: Abolishing Diplomatic Immunity
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3858
Description[?]:
Currently, diplomats are exempt from prosecution for criminal acts but not from civil lawsuits, but may still be expelled because of criminal acts. However here at Choice, we believe diplomatic immunity should NOT be given. If someone if in our nation, then they MUST and WILL abide by OUR laws, they should not be put above the law. We cannot allow diplomats to get away with crimes, they must follow the same laws when in Luthori as everyone else, we are all equal. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
