Bill: Employee Protection Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party of Luthori

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3869

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

With the current policy, the government is allowing employers to abuse their employees by making them work an outrageous amount of hours. We propose to change this policy and let the employee and the employer work out the situation together in an appropriate manner.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.

Random quote: "It is obvious that the laissez-faire ideology represents the interests of big business. For decades, the right-wing has opposed welfare programs and nationalised companies, in favour of big business disguised under 'economic liberty'." - Cecilia Xu, former Gaduri politician
