Bill: Curriculum Reform Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal League
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3900
Description[?]:
Having a one-size-fits-all approach to education will always fail. It is time we give back the power of educational matters to local governments. Note, under current laws we would still have national standards that must be met, however the curriculum itself would be left to local governments to craft (as long as they meet national standards). |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change National Curriculum
Old value:: There is a National Curriculum which all schools are obliged to follow.
Current: There is a National Curriculum which is advisory only and is not binding on any schools.
Proposed: There is no National Curriculum; curriculum policies for all schools are determined on a local level by local governments.
