| Current law on multiple citizenship: Multiple citizenship is not allowed, the country's citizenship is exclusive. Proposed change on multiple citizenship: Multiple citizenship is allowed without further regulations. Reason for change on multiple citizenship: Supporting the freedom of choice for our citizens is vital in retaining a proper democracy. Deregulating multiple citizenship will allow our citizens to have more security over which country they wish to reside in. If other countries have an issue with people retaining citizenship here, they are free to make their own policies concerning this.
