The Konservatīvā Partija proposes to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Republika Likatonija (Republic of Likatonia). This budget reflects the Likatonian Government's primary initiatives and reflects the final reforms enacted the last decade: mass privatization of industry, agriculture, health care and pensions. Government austerity measures were enacted and with the final transitions of the "Stronger Likatonia Plan," a stable budget with funding our national priorities is finally appropriate. The government's budget maintains a surplus while increase funding in critical areas, and living without our means after eliminating all sales taxes, corporate taxes, and moving to a fairer, two-tiered progressive income tax to fund the budget. DEFENSE Maintaining our commitment to a strong military, this budget retains our standing army of 750,000 active duty soldiers while providing the necessary funding to train an additional 150,000; bringing active duty levels to 900,000 personnel. Further, the Ministry of Defense will continue to upgrade naval vessels and while design the next generation of the nuclear navy. EDUCATION & CULTURE The government will significantly invest more money into our free primary education system to prepare all students the education they need before deciding on their higher education preferences. In addition, this added funding will be utilized to renovate many of the museums in our national system and construct new monuments to Likatonian culture. FOREIGN AFFAIRS $3bn more in funding to aid those nations in need. INFASTRUCTURE A well maintained and continually expanding infrastructure is necessary to a growing economy. The government is making a new enormous annual investment in Likatonia roads, canals, highways, and more. |
