Voting deadline: November 3922

Description[?]:

A resolution to amend the previous resolution in regards to the composition and requirements of judgement for the jury in the Supreme Court case of the Assassination of Michael Bird.

==========Amendment 1 (Composition of the Jury):==========

As per the Supreme Court act 3527, there shall be 75 judges in total.

The Court of Shades and the Eastern Central Alliance will not be included in selecting judges to the Supreme Court in this trial, due to their interests in this case.

Therefore the appointment shall be left to remaining parties with members in the Parliament i.e. the Lodamun National Party (137 seats), to be now referred in this bill to as "the LNP" and the United Developers Here For You (105 seats), to be now referred in this bill to as "the UDHFU".

The appointment of the judges will be dependent on the LNP and the UDHFU seat number percentages in the Parliament of Lodamun.

Total national seats received by the LNP and the UDHFU = 242
LNP % share of those seats = (137/242) x 100 = 56.6%
UDHFU % share of those seats = (105/242) x 100 = 43.4%

Based on these percentages the parties should receive the following number of seats on the Supreme Court Jury:

56.6% of 75 = 42.45 = 42 judges
43.4% of 75 = 32.55 = 33 judges

==========Amendment 2 (Unanimity of verdict):==========

The verdict on the criminal charges of murder should require a unanimous verdict i.e. all 75 judges should be of the same verdict for that verdict to be determined.

Otherwise the case will require reinvestigation and retrial.

On return to trial, a simple majority will only be required.
