Bill: Strike Reforms
Details
Submitted by[?]: Radical Liberal Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3988
Description[?]:
The current policy towards strikes can pave the way for a General Strike which would cripple the nation. Only trade unions affected by the issue at hand should be able to strike. It does not matter whether they are closely related or not, if an issue does not affect you directly, you have no right to strike against it. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Secondary strike action.
Old value:: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
Current: Any trade union can go on a sympathy strike in support of other striking workers.
Proposed: Secondary strike action is illegal. Workers and unions can only go on strike for their own pay and conditions.
