Bill: Eminent Domain Act of 4002

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kongres dla Wolności i Dobrobytu

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4003

Description[?]:

Mr Marshal,

We are not at all convinced that the Government should be allowed to seize anyone's property, however benevolent its motives are. Once someone owns a piece of property, only he should be able to determine how much he requires to transfer his ownership rights to another person. The KWD proposes to reform the so called 'eminent domain' laws as a testament to liberty and the right to ownership, the foundations of an civilised state.

Andrzej Nowak
Minister of Infrastructure and Transport

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
