Voting deadline: October 4013
Description[?]:
As Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Giuseppe Mattarella advises the Socialist Green Party that the policy regarding eminent domain must change. Eminent domain must not be left to local governments, but the government may seize private property for vital government works. The federal government should be in charge of when eminent domain should be used to ensure that no governments are wrongfully using power to seize private property. This will ensure that private property is seized only when deemed necessary by the federal government to protect all of our citizens from wrongfully seizing of their own private property. By leaving the choice open to the federal government, eminent domain will only be used in cases for vital governmental works only. |
