Bill: Local Government's Control Over Fire Prevention and Management
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Green Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4016
Description[?]:
As Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Giuseppe Mattarella advises the Socialist Green Party that local government's should have control over their own fire prevention and management. Having one national fire department, funded by the government cannot account for specific needs of each state. For example, the state of Marligantos may need increased fire prevention and management due to the environment but because of our national fire department, we have limited supplies, vehicles, or men to distribute throughout all the states. By leaving fire prevention and management under the local government's control, each specific need for public safety will be met to ensure the safety of the public. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
