Bill: Withdrawing from the Indralan-Gaduri Treaty of Friendship and Mutual Cooperation II
Details
Submitted by[?]: Classical Liberal Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4036
Description[?]:
The Neo-Democratic Party has two primary objections to this treaty. First, in regards to affording the same status to Indralan students as Gaduri students (Article IV, Section C): the Neo-Democratic Party believes the Federal Union should prioritize it's own students (in terms of funding, admissions into schools, etc), over the students of other nations. This will allow our own children the greatest opportunities for advancement in the nation and in the world. Second, in regards to the military agreement in the treaty (Article II, Sections E and F): the Neo-Democratic Party strongly protests the presence of an Indralan naval base on the island of Marligantos. We see this as detrimental to national security and as an insult to the Federal Union military forces, sending a message that the government does not believe in their ability to protect the nation. |
