Bill: National Liberal Party's Position on Monarchy

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Liberal Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4039

Description[?]:

As we are all aware, the monarchy is a very contentious issue in our political climate with some loud voices on both sides of the debate. After much discussion at our founding conference, as a party, we have adopted a position of the status quo. We are happy with the monarchy in its current state and will vote against any attempt to increase its power, but will also vote against any attempts to either abolish it or weaken its position.

This policy is unlikely to change unless there is a fundamental need for an increase or decrease i.e. in a national emergency or a succession crisis. Although these are once again unlikely to occur.

Matthias Grey
Leader of the National Liberals

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current.
