Bill: Adoption Reform 4101
Details
Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4101
Description[?]:
This is something me and my party feel very strongly about. We see no reason why only couples should adopt. As long as a person passes tests for adoption, we see no good reason they should not be allowed to adopt. As an example of why this current law fails, take for example if a child's parents are killed, and a single family friend wishes to adopt them. Under the current law, that would not be allowed to happen, and instead of being adopted by a familiar family friend, the child would instead be put into an orphanage. Just an extreme example, but one that is still very real and happens. Especially with abortions mostly being illegal now, we would like to think most parties realise this reform is wholly necessary. |
