Bill: Cease Unabated Abortion!
Details
Submitted by[?]: Serviunt Civitati
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4111
Description[?]:
We see no shame in the termination of the unborn in the event that the lives of mother and/or child are in medical dire straits. Generally such decisions are made out of necessity and regret at the loss of life. However, under current law termination can happen at any time during pregnancy without qualification. Our party is unanimous in its agreement that the practice of terminating the life of another person of any age as a means of birth control is unredeemable. We propose that legislation change to reflect a nation-wide recognition of the sanctity of life, and the promotion of personal responsibility for the actions of our people. We demand that the practice of abortion be limited to medical emergencies only. (forgot to attach legislation) |

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation. |
