Bill: Industrial Renewal Act of 4113

Details

Submitted by[?]: Traditio et Honorem

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4114

Description[?]:

To increase jobs and enable our industries to be more competitive with foreign business, the government should permit industry best practices to be used as guidelines.

This does not imply that businesses are immune from prosecution for polluting the environment, making unsafe products, or the like. The law simply permits businesses to assume risk and pass the savings to the consumer. We presume the innocence of all, but if proven guilty then all fines, trials for executives, etc. will be used in full force to curtail further exploitation of the generosity of the Selucian people.

Random quote: "One day our descendants will think it incredible that we paid so much attention to things like the amount of melanin in our skin or the shape of our eyes or our gender instead of the unique identities of each of us as complex human beings." - Franklin Thomas
