Bill: The Income Support Act (ISA)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social-Democratic Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4116

Description[?]:

When people lose their jobs, they get no financial aid and mostly become homeless and wander through the streets of our cities with no plan for the day, dependent on gifts and charity for a proper meal. These people are a burden for the taxpayers and society. By giving them a very small amount of money each month, they can buy some proper clothes, go to a budget school, finish their education, apply for a job and become part of the hard-working society again, by paying their taxes again and engaging in the free market economy.

And to support them with getting their life back on track, we can provide basic housing for the homeless, so they have at least a roof above their heads. This long-term solution is the best way to handle with home- and jobless people.

( In article 2, do not interpret 'subsidised' as a 100% percent coverage of the monthly rent, but 10-25% according to the financial situation and income of the occupant.)

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.
