Details
Submitted by[?]: United Yeudish Leftist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4126
Description[?]:
Whereas current laws provide that fishing and hunting limits for individuals are set by local governments. Whereas commercial fishing takes resources that could be used by our citizens, on a very large scale. Whereas commercial fishing can be large drain on the fish population, which is a finite resource. Whereas it is reckless to not regulate the consumption of a finite resource when profit is involved. Whereas commercial companies should be held to the same standards as people when possible. Whereas the oceans fall under no direct jurisdiction but the national government. Whereas Yeudish values provide that we act as faithful stewards to our environment. Therefore, let it be resolved that the government of Beiteynu may set limits and regulations for commercial fishing activities. |
