With low rates of employment in 3 states of ours, we must better address the conditions the workers. This is somewhat an experiment to see whether this will impact wages and employment significantly. Should it not, than the NLP will immediately attempt to repeal this act. |

Old value:: There shall be a minimum wage at a level that a full time worker on it can support a family of four without falling under the poverty line.
Current: There is no provision for a minimum wage.
Proposed: There shall be a minimum wage at a level considered a "living wage," well above the poverty line for a full time worker.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Guarantee of minimum income.
Old value:: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a very basic subsistence income by the government.
Current: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a very basic subsistence income by the government.
Proposed: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a reasonable, though not high, standard of living by the government.
