WHEREAS the police and military have separate day-to-day duties and responsibilities .

WHEREAS a force as strong as the military is not needed for police work except in extraordinary emergencies.

WHEREAS the military being granted the power to arrest and police civilians could be a danger to the democracy if abused.

WHEREAS after feedback from other parties the PLD believes it is reasonable for the military to assist the police in grave circumstances.

The PLD submits this bill to the Senat.
