Bill: P.d.l. 01/47 - Legislature Downsizing
Details
Submitted by[?]: Partito Giustizialista
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4148
Description[?]:
For a country of our size -- and with as large plurinominal constituencies as we have -- 635 legislators is unnecessary. We propose to lower the number to 500, with 100 per region, to save taxpayer money. This number was used for some time during the last century. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The total number of seats in the legislative assembly. Should be between 75 and 750.
Old value:: 635
Current: 450
Proposed: 500
