| On of the laws in our country, is that prisonners are allowed to vote, even if they are in jail. I have just one question for you, what is dystopia and utopia ? Utopia is a perfect world, coming direcly from a dream, dystopia is the opposite, coming from a nightmare. What we must stop, is the dystopiation of our nation, to give our people reason, because they are the ones with power, the people. We all know how our democracy works, the people vote and decide everything, but people can easily be confused and manipulated, these are the main flaws of democracy. Yes, people can do dumb things, people can also be mentally ill, and then commit to crimes, or worse, wich is why we put them in jail, in prisons. Prisons are the place where we store the worse people humanity has to offrer, of course most of the time, they come out of prison, and are released in the outside world. They are only released once we are sure that they do anything against the law again, that they don't start over, we know this thanks to psychiatry, which is obligatory in every prison. But what about those who just came in, frsh from their crimes, one who just murdered an entire family with children, who is mentally ill and disturbed, even tho is a monster, he's still a person, and is part of the people, who have ultimate power in the governement. Do we really want our governemant to be directed by people like him ? If most of our citizens suddenly becom mentally ill, and are thrown in jail, and if they can still vote, then we are at their mercy. This is what i propose, prisoners, while in jail will not be able to vote, and prisoners who just came out, will have to wait 2 months before he can vote. This is necessary, for a healthy democracy and governemant . |
