| I will today propose the creation of a politically independent supreme court. All judges who are selected to serve in the supreme court will have to swear political independence when dealing with their cases. And they will be selected by a panel of other lawyers, judges and academics. It will consist of 13 judges who are given lifetime appointments, so they will serve until they die or choose to retire. The supreme court will be created when this bill passes |
